6th January 2024:

We had a fantastic stay at The Snug. Cosy, comfortable, clean, very well equipped, and beautifully decorated. Katie has thought of everything and was so welcoming. And what a great location for someone who loves a sunrise swim! Highly recommended.

Tips:

We had delicious dinners at The Osborne and The Royal Bar (both Innellan) and also had fantastic coffee and cake at The Swallow Café in Dunoon, The Tearoom in Tighnabruaich and The Blairmore in Blairmore.

6th December 2023:

The Snug is a lovely little house which was immaculately clean on my arrival. It was a little chilly on arrival but heated up in no time at all. My few days here were warm and comfortable. The well equipped kitchen was a joy and my dog was thrilled with his welcome gift.

Tips:

Take time to explore the village which has some beautiful views from the streets higher up than Shore Street. Nearby, Bishops Glen and the Ardnadam Heritage Trail are both great if you like walking

Excellent communication from Katie. The Coach House has everything you need and more. Spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. Lovely secure garden for our 2 wee dogs and we loved sitting on the swing seat. Wished we could stay longer and will definitely be back. Thanks again for a lovely break.

Tips:

The Osborne Hotel and the Whistlefield Inn do lovely meals and have lovely views. Benmore Gardens is a must and Pucks Glen is a magical place to walk. Too many places to mention but there is a very useful guide to the area in the cottage.

Fabulous stay. Booking process was efficient and Katie responded quickly to the initial enquiry. The Snug had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and having some basics to hand like washing up liquid and toilet roll really makes a difference. The goody bag for the dog was a lovely touch. Lots to do locally - we bagged a fair number if trig points!

Tips:

Benmore Botanical Gardens Bishops Hill Kilmun Arboretum Take the passenger ferry from Dunoon over to Gourock. Homemade ice cream from the cafe in the high street in Dunoon.,

Lovely, clean and efficient perfectly situated little bolt hole. A peaceful place to stay with the shore at the bottom of the lane, and Dunoon with all its surrounding loveliness easily accessible. There’s a bus stop at the bottom of the lane for those like me who came on foot. The Snug has everything you need, so you can relax and enjoy the tranquility or venture further to explore.

Tips:

If you are on foot, the bus is at the bottom of the lane, and the company, West Coast Motors, has a great little app for timetables.

Fabulous location, lovely quiet and clean cottage. Really appreciated Katie letting us know that we could let our dog use the garden behind the Coach House for the two days it was empty.

Tips:

Benmore botanic gardens is a must, and Bishops Glen was wonderful. Any car issues, we can recommend Clyde’s Garage in Dunoon - got us back on the road in no time!

The snug is like a little home from home. All your needs are catered for with the new addition from last time we visited of a dishwasher. The Snug is clean and tidy and Katie and Paul are very good hosts. It's been our 3rd visit to the snug and won't be our last.

Tips:

The Royal at Innellan is a very nice and friendly pub which allow you to take your dogs in. Due to the weather we didn't get out and about as much as we usually do but did plenty of walking on the front with the dogs. Inveraray is a nice place to visit while you are up here there's a local bus service what runs there as well. If you like real ales a trip to the loch fyne brewery is a must.

Lovely apartment. Clean, warm and everything supplied. High quality electrical goods. Beautiful coordinated with soft furnishings. Was sad to leave - felt like home! Great to have Katie and Paul nearby - we had a hiccup with the hot water pressure one morning and it was all sorted out within an hour of ringing Katie. They are there for you!

Tips:

Cowal Peninsula is the hidden highlands but don't tell everyone! Stunning scenery, gorgeous glens and take a ferry! Innellan Golf course is the best - friendly, well maintained and views to die for! Loved walking to the ruins of Toward Castle at sunset via the lighthouse. Visiting Lochgoilhead and taking the ferry over to Tarbet. Kilfinnen vault is a must for any member of the clan Lamont!

Cosy and comfortable cottage. Very well equipped. I can't really criticise the location as it was our choice to stay there but it is a bit out of the way if you don't want to drive down the same road every time to get anywhere.

Tips:

Dunoon is really tired and run down. We didn;t eat out. Area is good for walking and is very scenic.

Although we didn't travel far there's something for everyone. Tried to book Sunday lunch in The Orchard but was fully booked. Advised to book 2 week's in advance! Loved walking the dogs on the beach, just 25 yards away.
