7th April 2024:
Very friendly owners with a property in a great location.
Tips:Lots to see and do. Great, if strenuous, walk up Strone hill direct from the house. Pucks Glenn, Benmore gardens and Ardentinny nearby and lovely too. Plenty of places to paddle board, even from the house if calm enough. Two nice cafes nearby, one in Strone and the other in Blairmore.

Great property with an amazing view. Really clean with modern facilities. Large Garden which is maintained to a high standard.
Tips:We stayed at Bailyfield with our dog so we made the most of the nearby forest walks, of which there are many. A particular highlight is 'Puck's Glen'. Would highly recommend the Ardentinny Restaurant which serves delicious and fantastically presented food. It also has a large decking area overlooking the loch. The nearby pub The Strone Inn also serves great food.

If you’re debating whether to book or not- do it! It’s a fabulous house. The views are amazing. Very thing is tip top! Gordon and Janet are lovely and easy to communicate with. It’s a very special place.
Tips:Puks Glen - steep walk up, beautiful walk down. Kids walked in the river ( don’t get wet…. Which of course they did), we walked the path. Great fun! Botanical Gardens. Lovely walk. Try to get to the e viewing point at the top, view is amazing! Quad mania….. brilliant fun for teenagers. A real laugh. Dunoon - walk along the front, quick look at the Pier. Cross over the road and up the statue. Again views are amazing up there. Lovely coffee at the Boat house. Sunday lunch at The Lorne ….. yummy! Inveraray - about an hours drive. The jail was ok. Maybe my teenagers are getting a little old. Fish and chips were delicious. Loch Fyne on the way home. Brilliant holiday ….. loved it!

Janet and Gordon are very welcoming and helpful with ideas on places to go and things to do in the area. The location is absolutely stunning and the house is perfect for a holiday.
Tips:The nearby Strone Inn does great food and the Shore Cafe offers great cakes and coffee. A good location to sail from nearby Holy Loch marina which offers inexpensive short stay moorings. There are many beautiful walks on the door step which are two Border Terriers loved.
